Preventive

Our hygienists believe an ounce of prevention outweighs a pound of cure. We strive to improve and maintain your personal dental hygiene, in an effort to help you avoid costly dental care in the future. Using a variety of advanced sonic and traditional hand instruments, we will help you achieve a healthier smile.

Children

A child's first visit to our office, recommended at about 3 years of age, we call a "Happy Visit" where we introduce them to our office and staff. They will ride up and down in the chair and we will ask them to show us their wonderful smile. Their teeth may also be cleaned at this visit. Before they leave, they will take a trip to the "toy room" so they may choose a toothbrush, floss and a prize.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are generally made of thin laminates of porcelain. Designed personally by Dr. Boyat and fabricated by our lab Technicians, these restorations bring life and strength back to aged or crooked front teeth. In less than a month, many smiles can be transformed.

Their Many Uses Include:

  • Lengthening short teeth

  • Closing spaces

  • Altering discoloration

  • Straightening crooked teeth-instant orthodontics

TMJ, Headache, Clenching (bite) disorders

Headache pain, jaw stiffness, facial muscle pain, pain with chewing, jaw joint pain, jaw joint noises, neck pain, throat pain, and grinding or clenching one's teeth could all be a part of various Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorders. It is not uncommon for a Temporal Mandibular headache to trigger another headache (migraines) or be related to neck and upper back dysfunction.

We can help sort through your symptoms, evaluate our ability to help, or in some cases, determine your need to be seen by another member of our referral team. However, most people can be successfully cared for in our office without the need for a secondary referral. When your pain and symptoms are more complex, we have these recourses available.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are used to replace a single tooth, a group of teeth, or an entire mouthful. They may also be useful with stabilizing a denture. Our office is involved in the initial treatment planning, the final construction of the restoration and the continued preventative maintenance. We utilize the expertise of our implant surgeons (periodontist or oral surgeon) in the placement and healing phases of implant dentistry.

Endodonics (root canal therapy)

Boyat Dental takes great pride in the outcome produced by our endodontic (root canal) care. Root Canal Therapy is the definitive solution for the pain and infection relief the patient is seeking. If Root Canal Therapy is necessary, our patients can find comfort in today's advances and outcomes. Most patients are treated in one, pain-free appointment with limited after-treatment discomfort

Dentures and Partials

Dentures and partials are removable replacements for missing teeth. They are made of an acrylic resin and sometimes metal is added for structural support. Your dentures will help strengthen muscles controlling your expressions. If your dentures are maintained, you will have a natural looking smile.

Crowns and Bridges

Crown and bridge procedures are considered restorative dentistry because they restore natural teeth that have been damaged, decayed or lost. A crown may be constructed to restore a damaged tooth to its original health and function, while a bridge may be utilized to replace one or more teeth. Crowns and bridges are cemented onto the teeth and are considered "fixed" dentistry as opposed to restoration of missing teeth with a partial denture or removable appliance. Crowns and Bridges are fabricated with porcelain fused to a metal base or all porcelain may be used.

Botox

Botox is a natural, purified protein, which blocks nerve impulses to the muscles that cause wrinkles. When we frown, the skin is gathered into a fold causing a chronic furrow or wrinkle. when Botox is injected into the muscles, they relax, and the skin that lies over these muscles smoothes out. Botox can be used for the horizontal frown lines in the forehead, frown lines between the eyes, the "crows feet" around the eyes, and necklines and bands.

It takes the Botox three to seven days to work, and will last for three to four months, sometimes longer depending on the patient. Repeat treatments will be necessary to maintain the desired results. You may have some bruising and redness at the injection sites, but this resolves within two to three days. You may cover these areas with makeup

Facial pain is often caused by muscle spasm and can be a component to migraines. Treatment of the effected muscles with Botox can often bring a resolution of symptoms. The treatment regime in addition often involves reducing clenching of the teeth by means of a hard dental splint.
